Stuff You Can Buy Easily
Rayearth CDs
Most Rayearth CDs are out of print. All the singles are out of print. The two CDs that are still in print are Best Song Book and Original Soundtrack BEST, so get them while you can! Secondhand copies can be purchased from JPQueen (located in Japan, search for rayearth CD). eBay is another source, but mostly those are bootlegs. Ah, bootlegs. There's a sticky situation. What to do if the CD you want is out of print and you can't find it secondhand? There are bootleg versions of the Rayearth albums (none for the CD-ROMs or singles) which are sold by two bootleg companies from Taiwan called EverAnime and SonMay. Stores that sell Rayearth bootlegs include Sakura Media (Canada), Kiki Wai (Canada), Anime Castle (U.S.) and V.O.E. (U.S.)
Japanese Artbooks
Out of print. ISBN and covers. You can purchase them secondhand from Japan Book Mart and JPQueen. Due to the weight of artbooks, shipping from Japan for these is very expensive, around $12-15 USD per book. The following stores links are provided for your information. I have not purchased from any of them so I really do not know what they are like. To be honest, I'm not sure how any store could still have copies of the Rayearth artbooks after all this time. I do not know if there are any bootlegs of Rayearth artbooks, although bootleg artbooks do exist (the quality of those is very poor). They are hard to identify online. Other Hard to Find Merchandise
A great deal of merchandise was produced during MKR's run in Japan and while most is no longer being produced, you can find it in obscure places online. I found a few stores that apparently still carry some Rayearth merch.
- Superlime is a collector's store that is selling out some rare MKR enamel pins, plushes and keychains for sale (all MKR goods are rare!) Mostly 1 in stock of any item. Once it's gone, it's gone.
- Japan Book Mart - Japanese used bookstore. Also carries CDs, DVDs, anime goods, artbooks, novels.
- JPQueen (in Japan) - second-hand artbooks, manga, CDs, anime albums, doujinshi (fan parody manga), film books ("kyakuhonshuu")
- Aclimate Solution - Japanese store selling new and used manga
- Kiki Wai (in Canada) - Japanese manga, Taiwan CDs, wallscrolls, UFO dolls, and cards
- Mix-Image (in France?) - CDs, CD-ROM, 1000 Editions posters, French manga
- V.O.E. - resin kits, novelty items
