Fixed broken links in CD-ROM:
I've finally been able to complete the CD Singles with the karaoke and remix tracks for the two Mokona singles. Thanks once again to Aquantis for sending these in!
The MKR anime has been re-released yet again, under the name "World of Magic Knight Rayearth". See this thread on the AnimeOnDVD Forums for details. This set is simply the two economy thinpaks boxes which were released, with a thin paper box to hold them together. It retails for $59.95 USD but Amazon is currently selling it for $39.99 USD.
I discovered today that my email address michelle AT michellebacon.net has not been working since at least January 2, 2007. I had 316 messages that never reached me until today when I found out my host's mail server settings had changed. I'm so sorry! I really wasn't ignoring you =( I have a number of email addresses so I was still receiving mail and thought all was well. I feel like such a dope =P
I've fixed all the broken links in the Music Downloads. A big thanks to everyone who emailed me about these. I always miss something when switching hosts!
Rayearth fan Aquantis comes thru again with the second track from the Keiko YOSHINARI single for the first anime ending, Asu e no Yuuki. See the Singles page for the download.
The tracks for the Fuu CD-ROM Extra Special have been added, courtesy of Aquantis.
Minako Honda's Kono Uta wo For You has been added to the Singles page.
I moved servers and forgot to upload some of the music files. Whoops! All should be working now.
It's been brought to my attention that the links to the Umi and Mokona CD-ROM apps were all directed to the Hikaru zip. Doh. Three months and no one told me? *sweatdrop* They're fixed now!
Did you know there was a SNES game for MKR? Today I found the fan-translation for the SNES ROM (emulated version). I have added a link to a great site with a walkthru, maps, in-game music downloads, and the emulated version of the game itself (in English): Magic Knight Rayearth for SNES. Enjoy!
The tracks from the Hikaru, Umi and Mokona CD-ROMs can now be downloaded (no Fuu files, sorry). Enjoy!
The Rayearth anime is being re-released in two Economy Box sets this summer: the first season set was released June 16/05 for $39.95 USD and the second season set will be released August 16/05 for $44.95 USD. This is a LOT cheaper than either the Memorial Collection box sets or purchasing the DVDs separately. These new Economy box sets are two slim plastic cases containing all the discs from each season in one container (other companies call them thinpacks). They take up much less shelf space than the individual DVD cases, as. I updated the anime shopping page with this new info and fixed broken cover images on the manga shopping page.
New CDs! Fellow Rayearth fan Atlantis has sent me copies of Original Soundtrack 1 (Chosen Girls), Original Soundtrack 4 (New Bonds) and the Sega Saturn OST along with scans so I have added those missing CDs for download.
Happy Victoria Day! (Canada). Bio pics for the villains and second season characters have been added. Fixed the link for Yuzurenai Negai [Unplugged Version] in OST 3. Rewrote portions of this site's "history" over on Astraldream.
Music update! I've been sent copies of the tracks from the RUN/Yami no Yume single (I previously just had track 1) by Julian S. Check 'em out!
I've been working on adding character profiles for all the villains and second season characters, which I never had on the site before. My reasoning had always been that I didn't want to spoil the series, since these characters' motivations are really what drive the plot. But recently my boyfriend was bugging me because he wanted to know about these characters and I didn't have descriptions for them! So here they are (with spoilers avoided as carefully as possible). A few are not yet completed, and I still have to add bio pics for each of them. Future updates on my wishlist include complete scans of the two manga artbooks and (if I can ever purchase the CDs off Ebay) ogg files for Original Soundtracks Vol. 1 and 4.
Also, Michelle = baka. I discovered today that I did not have Thunderbird (my e-mail client) set to download my mail from michelle AT michellebacon DOT net since the beginning of April so I missed a month's e-mails. I'm catching up on this mail now.
Remember the Cephiro website by Fuu/Rika Takahashi? If you're an old-timer like me you will, along with Primera's Magic Knight Rayearth Page (rest in peace). Rika took her site down for renovations a long time ago, and never put it back up. I discovered today that all the contents are still online! The address is cephiro.anime.net/menu.html. Go enjoy! It's a wonderful resource that no one should be without. This time, I will be saving all the pages to my hard drive ;-) Also, I forgot to mention last month that I took the "Pray" single off the Singles page. I had practically no information on it, but it had shown up in conjunction with Rayearth CDs a few times. Turns out it's not from Rayearth at all (as I had long suspected) but is by Yasuko Matsuyuki. Thanks goes to Michi for emailing me with that information.
I have remodeled the site's design to freshen it up a little. My boyfriend was bugging me that the site looked really old =) It looks better in 1024x768 resolution now.
Fixed links to OAV Soundtrack 1st Half.
In the previous update, I forgot to upload the Seiya no Tenshi-tachi tracks. Those are fixed now, along with Shoujo yo Taishi wo Idake Karaoke. And now that I own the Puchi Kyara Limited Edition Rayearth Single CD, that's up too. All 6:47-long track of it :-) Pretty short listen, but a very cute package. Lastly, I've made a much needed addition which is a Book Data page featuring covers from the manga (including the "new edition" shinso ban), artbooks and scenario collections.
Good news! I've added four new soundtracks for you to download (OST 2, 3, 5 and OAV Soundtrack 2nd Half) plus a bunch of the singles tracks. I've now also translated/acquired translations for ALL the soundtracks. There were quite a few holes in OST 1 and 4 and none at all for 5 and OAV OST 2nd Half. Maybe I'll buy the rest of the soundtracks someday =) I removed the "Music Download" page because practically everything in "Discography" can now be downloaded. I'm still missing the following singles tracks: Asu e no Yuuki Karaoke, Kono Uta wo For You, the Puchi Kyara CD, Mokona no Ekaki Uta (karaoke w/melody) and Mokona no Ekaki Uta (full karaoke), Yami no Yume, RUN Karaoke, Yami no Yume Karaoke.
